Joshua James Gear (21 weeks pregnant): Due Date (January 29th, 2011)

Dear Family and Friends! I am so very sorry it has taken so long to update our web site. I apologize for any inconvenience.

God is so good, and has been keeping us on our toes constantly. Currently, Jhan is the youth pastor at our church and is loving it. He is also working full time and loves being an amazing husband and daddy! We are going to have another baby, and just found out that the baby is another boy! His name is Joshua James! We get to meet him in January! I have been busy being a wife, mommy, and helping serve Jhan the best way I can!

Our youth group is doing well. We just finished doing a fundraiser at the annual Wheatfield Carshow, and made some money to put into the youth group! We will be taking our leadership team to a Youth Ministry conference in October, and look forward to that!

Our house is coming along. The yard is our biggest project here at the house. We are putting up a fence, spreading dirt, and doing some landscaping. Hopefully we will be able to get all of this done before the rains start!

God has blessed us so much, and we are so thankful for what He has given us! Thank-you all for your constant prayers. We hope to hear from you sometime soon! God bless!!

Spring is FINALLY here!!

Well hello everyone! The beautiful weather is finally here! The grass is turning green, and the flowers and the trees are budding! It's amazing how much good weather makes a difference in your life! Jhan and I have been so busy lately. Life is starting to get back into the groove. Jhan is back to work after a slow time in the business he works for. I absolutely loved having my husband home with me and Jeremiah! He is such a blessing...he is such an amazingly loving and caring husband, and such a loving fun father!

Lately, Jhan has had the burden to go out and do a short term missions trip as a family, either with our church or with a different group. His heart is broken for orphans and fatherless families. Being a father himself shows him the importance of having a father, and how important it is to share the Father Heart of God with those around us. We are still praying about where God wants us to go, and what He wants us to do.

My heart is to follow my husband wherever God calls us, and to do it with a good attitude and with thankfulness. Because "A Thankful Heart Prepares the Way for God to do Amazing Things in our Lives". Prayer for my husband is a daily thing that I do. I want to support him in the best way that I can, and in everything that I do. I want him to know that I love him, respect him, and honor him when I serve him, and when I put his wants and needs before my own, through the way I live and act daily!

Jeremiah is growing so fast. He is laughing more and more, and loves to smile! He is all around a happy baby. Well, he does have goofy people for his parents! Jeremiah loves his daddy, but has many smiles for his mommy too! He is almost 5 months already! He is eating baby cereal now, and gets many "tastes" of "real-people" food. Some of it he likes, and some of it he makes the funniest faces to to let us know that he doesn't like it!

Our youth group (Extreme Generation or XG) is going well. Our student leadership team is a success, and our students are growing in the Lord, slowly, but surely. The youth in the youth group are a mix of all different kinds of backgrounds, which can be very interesting, but it's fun to hang out with all of them and disciple them. We are teaching them more and more about respecting their parents, leaders, elders, etc.; growing more in Jesus, sharing Jesus with their friends at school or their teachers, and much much more! We also have them serve as much as the opportunities may let us! We are truly blessed with the 25-30 kids we have. God says in His Word to "fill your quiver full of children". We realize that that doesn't always mean with your OWN children, we only have one of our own right now (and hope to have more in the near future) but we also reach out to and disciple 25-30 other kids! It's fun, yet challenging!

We have been blessed with so much! We thank God every time we pray together (every night before bed) for all the blessings He has given us, and desire to serve Him whole-heartedly no matter what it may cost us.

I am doing more and more photography also! Jhan just bought me a Canon EOS 50D, which is a very nice SLR (professional) digital camera. I am hoping to do more and more photography down the line with my sister, Julia Gear, as a small business. Our Dearest Family & Friends! We are so excited to see what God has for us this New Year! There has been a lot of changes to our life since last year, but it's all good stuff!

Jeremiah Michael is growing so fast, and is such a joy to Jhan and I! He is so happy almost all the time. Upon waking up, he has a smile on his face! He sure loves his Daddy, though. Well, Mommy has a special place in His heart too. Jeremiah is almost 3 months old already.

We are going to visit my family, and many of our friends in February in California! We look forward to spending time with our family and our friends for two weeks!

Our youth ministry is growing. We now have a student leadership team. This leadership team challenges some of our students (that we have chosen for the team) to share God with others, and to grow personally with their relationships with God. We give them responsibilities and challenges every time we meet. They are all awesome! We spent some time reorganizing our youth room, and after getting approval, we turned a guest bedroom in the youth room into our new Youth Ministry Office! We are so excited! The kids reorganized, moved furniture, painted verses on the wall, and got their shadows traced on the wall and we painted it! The office isn't up and running yet, but we have more work to do. Jhan has such a huge heart for the youth! I am so proud of him. I try and help him as much as I can, but in the mean time, I take care of Jeremiah, whom is now established in the youth group. The kids love him, and like to call him theirs! God is so good. During our Extreme All Nighter (celebrating the New Year), three guys that attend our youth group once in a while, received Christ that night! We are so excited! In our Y.M. Office, we are starting a "prayer wall" for all those who are in our youth group or who are on our hearts to pray for, and for those who aren't saved yet, and for those who just got saved. We will post their pictures up and pray for them every time we meet!

God is so good, and has blessed us with 2 pretty hefty tax returns, which in turn, will help us financially. Jhan (during the winter) isn't working as much. I am excited, because Jhan is allowing me to buy a Digital SLR (professional) camera after we get the money! I am so excited, because I really am interested in doing photography, and some day want to have my own business! My sister (in law), Julia, and I are both doing the photography together. She just got a REALLY nice digital SLR camera for Christmas, and so we are going to practice together and start up our portfolio soon!

Jhan is doing good! He is so busy working full time, and then coming home and giving me a kiss, and playing with his son, whom he is loving having around! I am so proud of Jhan, he comes home from work every day, and on some days he has to go straight from here to get stuff ready for youth group. His heart for our youth kids is huge, and he loves and disciples each of them as much as he can. I am proud to say, that my husband is the most amazing man I know. He loves God with ALL of his heart, and his heart breaks for the things that breaks Gods heart. He is so compassionate and loving towards Jeremiah and I, and towards others! I will say that he is doing the youth ministry whole-heartedly, and in the midst is volunteering his time do do it all for no pay. God has blessed him so much.

Prayer Points for us:

*That we would raise Jeremiah to the best of our ability in the Presence of God

*We would better our marriage every day

*We would live to do God's will, whatever that may require of us

*Our youth ministry would continue to thrive and grow

*Our youth kids would realize the urgency of having a personal relationship with God is essential

*We would be wise with our finances and would use what we have to serve others

It's Already December!

Hello Everyone! Can you believe that it is already December?! It's crazy how fast time flies. Well, things over here in Indiana are going great. We are so busy with our NEW family, and with our youth ministry. God is so good, and helps us with both! Jeremiah is growing so fast! I love being a mommy so much! Jhan absolutely loves being a daddy, and is so good at it too! We hope that you enjoy the new pictures that I have posted up! Our family is growing, and so is Jeremiah!

Oh the many details...Well, on my due date, I started going into labor right after Jhan left for work. We called the doctor, and they told us to go in. After being there for a few hours, they said that I wasn't dilated enough, and sent us home, and I cried...of course. We went back in the next day, and I was dilated to a 3 and they sent us home again! Dang it! They said that I shouldn't come back until the contractions are 3-5 minutes or until I can't handle it anymore. Well, I labored until almost 11pm that night and we called the doctor because my contractions were so intense that I couldn't do it anymore. We went BACK to the hospital and I labored there on my own, tears and everything, thank God for Jhan, he was amazing! I labored until I was a 6 and they gave me an epidural and I slept through some major contractions for about 3-4 hours. When I woke up I started having "pressure" getting ready to give birth, and the nurse said I could start pushing. Of course, right before I was going to push, Jhan slept the whole time, and I tried to wake him up but he didn't, so he woke up when she said "are you ready to push". He was like why didn't you wake me up? I said, honey I tried! Anyways....I pushed for about 40 minutes and then he was here! The doctors kept saying I did such a good job. it was hard, but so good!

Well, to conclude this story, Jhan was an amazing husband through the whole thing, and we now have a precious little son! We are so excited to raise him in God’s presence and do our best to teach him about God!

Our Precious Son: Jeremiah Michael Gear

Hello Family & Friends...we just wanted to give you a quick update! Yes, Jeremiah is finally here! We are so excited and so blessed, but so overwhelmed with God's blessings! God is so good.

After laboring for 3 days, God brought Jeremiah here safely. He is such a joy, and we look forward to sharing God with him and raising him in God's Presence. Jeremiah came on the morning of November 14th, 2009 (two days after his due date). He is happy and healthy, and is very cute (okay, handsome).

Thank-you all for your prayers throughout the pregnancy and birth. Enjoy the few pictures we posted. We will get newer ones up soon. Love you all!!!

3 weeks left!

Well, we are so excited to meet our little one! We only have 3 weeks left! God is so good, and has kept Jeremiah and I both healthy and safe! Thank-you all for your continued prayers for us and our little family of three! Please pray for the birth, that everything goes fine, and that Jeremiah and I come out healthy and fine. And pray for Jhan too! I am sure he will do amazing too! The picture is of me at 36 weeks pregnant, but going on 37 weeks pregnant!

We have been so blessed! God provided all that we need for Jeremiah! So we spent today setting up the rest of his nursery! Enjoy the new Pictures! And the "pregnant" picture is me at 35 weeks pregnant! Only 5 more weeks to go!!

Jeremiah's Baby Shower - September 26th, 2009

Baby Jeremiah...

His nose is squished...but it's in the middle. His hand is covering his right eye. The reason why I had another ultrasound at 33 weeks was because when i got Jeremiah's first ultrasound they said that the placenta was too close to my cervix. But this last ultrasound, they didn't say that anything was wrong. They said that everything was great! Jeremiah weighs about 4 and a half pounds (when I was 33 weeks pregnant), and his heart rate was around the 130s and 140s. He is VERY active, and enjoys STRETCHING and kicking and moving things around in there! We have about 5 weeks until his expected due date. Please keep Our little family of 3 in prayer. We really want the birth to go well, and we want Me and Jeremiah to be safe and healthy afterwards! Pray that Jhan (who is SOOOOO excited) does well too...which I know that he will! He is amazing!
